Thanks to PUBG IP expansion, inZOI’s strong debut, and BGMI’s global growth, quarter-over-quarter sales are up 41.6%, while operating profit is up 112.2%
KRAFTON, Inc. today announced its first quarter earnings results for 2025. Based on consolidated financial statements prepared in accordance with Korean International Financial Reporting Standards (K-IFRS), the company achieved a record-high quarterly sales performance of 874.2B KRW and operating profit of 457.3B KRW. In addition to high quarter-over-quarter growth, year-over-year growth has also set records with sales up by 31.3% and operating profit up by 47.3%.

Significant Growth and Core IP Direction
KRAFTON achieved significant growth across all of its business divisions, including PC (323.5B KRW), mobile (532.4B KRW), and console/others (18.3B KRW). On PC platforms, PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS’ diversified content and strong live-service operations contributed significantly to growth while the successful launch of a new IP, inZOI, also played a pivotal role. On mobile, premium items, strategic IP collaborations, and localized marketing efforts drove increased sales. This was especially true for BATTLEGROUNDS MOBILE INDIA (BGMI), which generated positive player response through notable collaborations, including one with Indian automobile manufacturer Mahindra, which achieved the highest localized sales-to-date for the title.

The all-time high first quarter success can be attributed to the expansion of the PUBG IP franchise, as well as KRAFTON’s ongoing strategy of securing a “Big Franchise IP.” Since its transition to a Free-to-Play (F2P) model, PUBG has demonstrated its sustainability by surpassing 1.4 million concurrent users in March. Moving forward, KRAFTON will continue to enhance the player experience through collaborations with renowned artists and brands, new maps, and different game modes. The company also plans to broaden its player base and global presence by releasing new PUBG-based titles, including the extraction shooter Project Black Budget, the console-focused battle royale Project Valor, and the top-down tactical shooter PUBG: BLINDSPOT. By adopting photorealistic graphics powered by Unreal Engine 5 and introducing user-generated content (UGC), KRAFTON aims to evolve PUBG into a comprehensive “PUBG 2.0” gaming platform.

KRAFTON’s results can also be linked back to inZOI, which launched in Early Access on March 28 and sold over one million copies in its first week, becoming the fastest-selling KRAFTON title ever. Approximately 95% of its sales came from global markets, showcasing KRAFTON’s strength in creating a globally successful original IP. By continuing to leverage the title’s advanced CPC (Co-Playable Character) AI technology, Smart Zoi, KRAFTON plans to enhance gameplay and develop inZOI into another long-term franchise IP.

Exciting New Titles and Strategic Expansion in India
KRAFTON is strategically tailoring its development and publishing approach to each of its new titles. The PC life simulation game Dinkum officially launched globally on April 23 with localization expanded to 14 languages. The company plans to strengthen the Dinkum IP franchise by expanding it to new platforms and launching a spin-off game called Dinkum Together. Additionally, the highly anticipated Subnautica 2 is scheduled for Early Access later this year and aims to actively integrate player feedback into future development.

In addition to new titles, a core strategic market for KRAFTON continues to be India, where it is focused on solidifying its market position after strong growth with BGMI. In March, the company acquired a controlling stake in Indian studio Nautilus Mobile and secured the IP for Real Cricket, India’s leading cricket game with over 250 million downloads and 10 million monthly active users. Building on this momentum, KRAFTON will further strengthen its localized strategy through new content, targeted marketing, additional game publishing, and ongoing business development efforts to discover its next major IP in India.

Players grow their own private military company, complete strategic missions, and experience expanded content in 5minlab’s new tactical simulation game.
5minlab, a creative studio under KRAFTON, today announced the global Early Access launch of Private Military Manager, its new PC tactical management simulation game, available now on Steam. Players will step into the role of a private military company (PMC) president, building their organization and leading dynamic combat missions — with significantly expanded content and revamped systems compared to the game’s previous demo.

In Private Military Manager, combat unfolds automatically based on the strategies players set in advance. Players must carefully adjust key variables — including infiltration tactics, engagement range, and combat rules — and make real-time decisions during missions to outmaneuver their enemies.
This Early Access release follows the game’s second demo, which launched in January, and introduces major updates:

  • Expanded Storyline: The narrative now progresses beyond the original prologue into the mid-game, featuring new mercenary characters that deepen player immersion.
  • Overhauled Systems: Free Play Mode offers rebalanced combat to encourage generational shifts among mercenaries, while the revamped tech tree now directly influences company growth and long-term strategy.

Throughout the Early Access period, 5minlab plans to deliver regular updates, including the full completion of the main storyline, expanded faction relationship systems, and new loot and progression mechanics — all aimed at creating a richer, more rewarding gameplay experience.

Arena team battles, a new boss-filled PvE realm, and deeper RPG progression arrive in the hit fantasy extraction RPG

KRAFTON today announced that Dark and Darker Mobile, the mobile adaptation of the breakout dungeon-crawling survival game, will launch its third seasonal update on April 16. Available in soft launch in Canada and the U.S., this update introduces all-new competitive and cooperative game modes, expanded character growth systems, and enhanced social features that invite both veteran adventurers and newcomers to test their skills — and luck — in the darkest dungeons yet.

Running from April 16 to June 10, the new season — Pre-season #3: Grappling with the Abyss — offers players multiple new ways to play, progress, and earn exclusive rewards. Players returning from Pre-season #2 will receive Season Coins, which can be used in the Season Shop, while all players can enjoy faster coin acquisition rates and access to a brand-new seasonal Game Pass.

Update delivers gameplay unification, new seasonal features, and quality-of-life improvements for veteran players and returning fans alike

KRAFTON, Inc. has released Update 35.1 for PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS on PC, with the console version set to arrive April 17. This latest update introduces a range of gameplay improvements focused on unifying the player experience, enhancing combat feel, and refining core mechanics across all maps.

Whether you’re deep in Ranked mode or returning to PUBG after some time away, Update 35.1paves the way for a more modern and consistent battle royale experience.

Gameplay Unification Across All Maps 

As outlined in the 2025 roadmap, Update 35.1 takes a major step toward standardizing the gameplay experience across Normal, Ranked, and Esports modes. These changes aim to reduce map-specific learning curves while keeping each Battleground’s distinct identity intact.

New Item Standardization: 

  • The Zipline Gun, Emergency Cover Flare, Stun Gun, and Self-AED (Solo only) are now available on all maps
  • The Blue Chip Transmitter, 4x Thermal Scope, and Spike Trap have been removed from all spawn pools to streamline loot balance

These updates are designed to ensure the core PUBG experience feels tactical and familiar—regardless of where you drop in.

Recall System Now Available on All Maps 

The Recall system, which allows downed players to return to the fight, is now live on all maps, including Karakin and Paramo. While settings are tailored per map to maintain balance, this change brings more consistent squad dynamics and comeback mechanics across the board.

Aim Punch Overhaul Goes Live 

Following player testing in Gunplay Labs, the reworked Aim Punch system is now officially in the live game. Built directly from community feedback, this system:

  • Reduces excessive screen shake
  • Improves shooting consistency
  • Enhances the skill ceiling for precision gunplay

KRAFTON will continue to monitor real-time data and feedback to fine-tune the experience.

Introducing: Contender 

Update 35.1 introduces Contender, a new high-end character upgrade system available via the Workshop. Contender outfits are released as complete sets—combining unique appearances with thematic costumes—and can be visually and functionally upgraded over time.

Materials required for upgrades can be obtained through Contender Prime Parcels available in Archivist’s Chests, or crafted using Artisan Tokens in Special Crafting.

Life simulation game inZOI garnered a strong player response as it reached a ‘Very Positive’ rating on Steam shortly after launching in Early Access. The game’s realistic simulation and community-friendly publishing efforts have demonstrated its potential as a long-term IP.

KRAFTON, Inc. surpassed 1 million cumulative sales of its life simulation game, inZOI, as of April 4 – just one week after launching in Global Early Access on Steam. This marks the fastest sales milestone ever achieved by a title published by KRAFTON.

On March 28, 2025, inZOI released in Early Access via the global PC gaming platform Steam. One day before launch, inZOI ranked 1st on Steam’s Global Top Wishlists, and then rose to No. 1 on Steam’s Global Top Sellers List (by sales revenue) just 40 minutes after its release. To this day, inZOI continues to top sales rankings across regions including North America and Asia.

inZOI has been praised by players across various metrics beyond sales. As of April 4, Steam reviews displayed an 83% positive rating, earning the game a ‘Very Positive’ status. inZOI also reached 175,000 concurrent viewers on Twitch, ranking 3rd in the Games Category. “Canvas,”inZOI’s in-game UGC (User-generated Content) sharing platform, showed strong levels of community engagement as it garnered more than 1.2 million players on the day of launch with over 470,000 pieces of uploaded content.

Building up to inZOI’s release, KRAFTON drew attention to the game by showing up at major global game shows, collaborating with international influencers, and actively communicating with the player community. The inZOI global showcase and demo build particularly attracted high interest, while leading global media and gaming outlets further raised anticipation worldwide through continuous updates on the game.
