New tactical extraction shooter offers players their first hands-on experience this December on PC

KRAFTON, Inc. today announced that developer PUBG Studios will conduct a Closed Alpha Test for its upcoming title, PUBG: Black Budget, this December. The test will be available for PC (Steam) players across North America, Europe, and Asia with support for English, Korean, Russian, and Chinese languages. This marks a development checkpoint for PUBG Studios’ new tactical extraction shooter, designed to gather valuable feedback from creators and the community on key gameplay elements, which would be a crucial step in shaping what’s to come.

A NEW TAKE ON THE EXTRACTION SHOOTER GENRE 

PUBG: Black Budget redefines the extraction shooter genre with a focus on exploration and discovery rather than pure survival and combat. Set on Coli, a mysterious island trapped in a time loop and consumed by a supernatural phenomenon known as the Anomaly, players will face various PvPvE threats while seeking top-secret technology and unraveling the truth behind the black-budget initiative, SAPIENS.

CLOSED ALPHA SCHEDULE AND ACCESS 

The Closed Alpha Test will take place exclusively on PC (Steam) and will consist of two public test sessions from December 12-14 and December 19-21, totaling six days across two weeks. Players can sign up for access via the game’s Steam store page.

Those who participate in the test will be able to freely stream, capture, and share gameplay content throughout the testing period. Players can also earn access keys through Twitch Drops during the event. This open format is designed to encourage community feedback and engagement, helping PUBG Studios refine gameplay systems and performance ahead of future testing phases.

CREATOR APPLICATION FOR EXCLUSIVE BENEFITS 

Applications for creator-exclusive benefits are open via the official X (formerly Twitter) and Steam announcements page. Selected creators will receive additional Alpha Test codes for community distribution.

Palworld Mobile hands-on debut attracts long queue, with wait times reaching up to 2.5 hours

KRAFTON, Inc. presented its new title Palworld Mobile and a range of interactive programs, captivating visitors at the international gaming exhibition G-STAR 2025 held at BEXCO in Busan, Republic of Korea from November 13 to 16.

This year, KRAFTON designed its booth around Palworld Mobile, the company’s new title based on the intellectual property of Japanese developer Pocketpair’s Palworld. From the moment of the event’s opening, large crowds gathered at KRAFTON’s booth to experience Palworld Mobile first-hand. Visitors formed long lines as they waited up to 2.5 hours to play the game. Early players praised the demo, commenting, “The core charm of the original game have been really well recreated on mobile,” “Exploring the open world and engaging in combat and crafting with adorable Pals was enjoyable,” “Skill-based combat felt exciting and immersive.”

KRAFTON transformed its booth into a theme park-style space inspired by in-game content from Palworld Mobile, allowing visitors to deeply explore the game in real life. Visitors enjoyed experiencing key elements of the game at the Pal Hunting Zone and Pal Capture Zone, where they collected digital stamps and exchanged them for Palworld Mobile merchandise. The Alpha Test sign-up event also drew high participation, reflecting strong anticipation for the game’s release.

Built around KRAFTON’s PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS IP, the themed rest area CAFÉ PUBG became a hot spot for on-site visitors. In collaboration with premium donut brand Old Ferry Donut, CAFÉ PUBG offered exclusive menu items, mini-games, and activities inspired by the PUBG world. Many fans expressed delight as they received PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS-themed merchandise such as umbrellas, cushions, and glass cups, after completing the Digital Stamp Rally Mission.

KRAFTON’s main stage showcased a variety of interactive programs such as the Palworld Mobile Quiz Show, the Pal Parade, and Photo Sessions. In particular, the Pal Parade unrolled a live performance in sync with a Palworld Mobile-themed song, drawing enthusiastic applause from the audience. Many visitors lined up for the Photo Sessions, where they took photos with Pal characters. Following its acclaimed PC release, Dinkum brings its cozy, open-ended island adventure to a new audience of players eager to build, farm, and explore their own slice of the outback — now from anywhere.

A COZY SURVIVAL SIM, NOW ON SWITCH 

Dinkum invites players to build a life in the Australian-inspired bush, where every day offers something new to discover. Players can establish and customize their own settlement, transforming a patch of wilderness into a thriving town surrounded by rolling hills, dense forests, and sun-soaked beaches.

Whether farming crops, raising animals, fishing the rivers, or mining deep underground, Dinkum offers a blend of relaxing life-sim progression and light survival gameplay that rewards creativity and curiosity. SEOUL, KOREA – November 4, 2025 KRAFTON, Inc. today announced its third quarter earnings for 2025 in its investor relations (IR) briefing.

 

Based on consolidated financial statements prepared in accordance with Korean International Financial Reporting Standards (K-IFRS), KRAFTON posted revenue of KRW 870.6 billion in the third quarter of 2025, up by KRW 151.3 billion (+21%) from the same period a year ago. The operating profit was KRW 348.6 billion, up by KRW 24.2 billion (+7.5%) in the same period. As a result, the company achieved record-high cumulative performance in the third quarter of this year with revenue at KRW 2.4069 trillion and operating profit at KRW 1.0519 trillion, marking the first time KRAFTON surpassed KRW 1 trillion of operating profit in the first three quarters.

 

Key Performance Highlights for Q3 2025

KRAFTON saw solid performance across all its business segments, including PC (KRW 353.9 billion), mobile (KRW 488.5 billion), console (KRW 10.2 billion), and others (KRW 18 billion). PC platforms set new records in quarterly revenue with year-over-year growth reaching 29%, driven by the steady popularity of PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS. This momentum was driven by a steady cycle of buzz and engagement sparked by high-profile collaborations with global K-pop sensations aespa and G-DRAGON, as well as French luxury automaker Bugatti.

 

On mobile, growth momentum was sustained by global user engagement through diversified content such as the “Transformers”-themed mode and X-Suit progressive skins, as well as robust live service operations. BATTLEGROUNDS MOBILE INDIA (BGMI) also hit a new high in quarterly revenue through localized strategies to enhance user experience, including India-exclusive skins and service expansion.

 

Revenue in the others segment surged 131% year-over-year as it included ad tech performance from subsidiary Neptune.

 

A Stronger Core IP and a New Franchise IP

KRAFTON plans to further accelerate growth within the PUBG IP franchise, leveraging the strong traffic of PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS. On PC and console, the company will continue to offer cultural experiences beyond gaming by continuing IP collaborations and sharing content within the IP franchise to generate synergy across titles.

 

Efforts are also underway to evolve PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS into a ‘PUBG 2.0’ gameplay platform—featuring an upgrade to Unreal Engine 5, expanded gameplay modes, and user-generated content (UGC) enhancements. The mobile segment will aim to maintain steady growth through diversified content and stable live service operations.

 

In line with its five-year strategy to establish a ‘Big Franchise IP,’ KRAFTON continues to make bold investments in new franchise IP development. The company has strengthened its creative leadership and expanded its development teams, now overseeing 11 projects currently in production. KRAFTON aims to strengthen its specialized production capabilities and expand its IP lineup across diverse genres. The company will offer a new look at open-world survival crafting game Palworld Mobile at G-STAR 2025 in Busan, Korea on November 13, giving players a hands-on experience for the first time.

 

Engines for Sustainable Growth

KRAFTON also shared its mid- to long-term growth strategy. With BGMI now firmly established as India’s national game, the company plans to strengthen its leadership in the Indian market and accelerate global expansion through local partnerships, region-specific content, optimized network infrastructure, and user-generated content (UGC) updates.

 

In parallel, KRAFTON will continue to build a robust esports ecosystem to expand its player and fan community. To date, the company has committed approximately KRW 300 billion in cumulative investments toward co-growth initiatives in India, with a focus on developing new IPs in gaming and digital entertainment.

 

In March, KRAFTON acquired a controlling stake in Nautilus Mobile, the studio behind India’s leading mobile cricket title, Real Cricket. Going forward, KRAFTON will take over direct publishing of Real Cricket 24 and pursue sports licensing partnerships to further strengthen its foundation for growth in the region.

 

At the same time, KRAFTON is accelerating its transition toward becoming an “AI First” company. By advancing its AI capabilities, the company aims to deliver differentiated user experiences and drive innovation across all services.

 

To support this vision, KRAFTON has established a GPU cluster valued at approximately KRW 100 billion, enabling large-scale creative experimentation and organizational transformation. Through a consortium with SK Telecom, the company is developing a proprietary foundation model with five billion parameters and building an integrated AI development and deployment system—covering everything from large-scale training to in-game implementation.

 

These initiatives strengthen KRAFTON’s position as a leader in game AI technology and advance the development of Co-Playable Characters (CPCs). In the first half of 2026, KRAFTON plans to introduce its first CPC, PUBG Ally, in PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS Arcade Mode, giving players an innovative, strategic gameplay experience alongside AI companions.

KRAFTON, Inc. announced a variety of on-site programs and events for the upcoming international gaming exhibition G-STAR 2025, taking place at BEXCO in Busan, South Korea from November 13 to 16.

This year, KRAFTON is transforming its booth into a theme park-style experience space inspired by in-game elements from Palworld Mobile. Designed to deliver a deeply immersive experience, the booth recreates the vibrant and lively atmosphere of the game, allowing visitors to step directly into its world.

Visitors to G-STAR 2025 will have the opportunity to play Palworld Mobile for the first time. Developed by PUBG STUDIOS, one of KRAFTON’s creative studios, Palworld Mobile is based on the intellectual property of Japanese developer Pocketpair’s global hit Palworld. The game inherits the core elements of the original—Pal collection and training, open-world survival, and building mechanics—while introducing mobile-optimized controls and a skill-based combat system to deliver an engaging experience on a new platform.

KRAFTON is also preparing a range of interactive experience programs that bring the world of Palworld Mobile to life. At the Pal Hunting Zone, visitors can use a rocket launcher to “hunt” mysterious creatures known as “Pals,” recreating the thrill of the game’s hunting system. In the Pal Capture Zone, participants can throw plush Pals into moving “sphere baskets” for a fun, interactive challenge. A large photo zone featuring popular Pals such as Jetragon and Cattiva will also be available, offering fans a perfect photo opportunity. Visitors who complete designated missions can collect digital stamps and receive exclusive Palworld Mobile merchandise.

KRAFTON will also operate CAFÉ PUBG, a themed rest area inspired by the PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS IP.
