General Ordering Policies

  1. No minimum order
  2. All major credit cards accepted at the Beckett.com Marketplace and Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express and PayPal accepted on phone & fax orders.  Our PayPal seller ID is:  joe@cheapseatscards.com
  3. We strive to ship your credit card orders within 48-hours and ASAP after receipt of money order payments.  Please review our personal check policy by clicking here.
  4. 15-day return policy on all sealed cards and saleable collectibles and memorabilia
  5. No returns on factory sealed packs, boxes or sets
  6. Pre-orders subject to manufacturer's delays
  7. Indiana residents pay applicable 6% sales tax
  8. E-mail confirmations upon shipping of all orders
  9. Prices quoted in U.S. dollars
  10. No C.O.D.'s please
  11. Shipping Rates: Customer selected at the Beckett.com Marketplace shopping cart or actual U.S. Mail costs - $1.75 minimum
  12. We reserve the right to select the shipping method for all "free shipping" orders

Buying Policy

Cheap Seats Sports Cards is currently interested in purchasing select cards for our inventory.  Before contacting us to sell your cards or collectibles, please review our "Want List" to see which items we are currently buying.  We make every attempt to keep this list up to date and include our buy price for each listed item.  At this time, please limit your sell requests to items on our "Want List".  If you have cards or collectibles that are listed on our "Want List", please follow the instructions below to ensure a prompt response to your inquiry:

  1. Email a list of the items you have for sale to: diane@cheapseatscards.com. Please be sure to verify that the items are posted on our "Want List".  Be sure to identify any off-condition items or problems.
  2. We will respond within one week with a purchase offer or notify you via email if we are not currently interested.
  3. If you decide to accept our offer, please follow the instructions below:
    1. Notify us that you are accepting our offer via email at: diane@cheapseatscards.com
    2. Package the items and ship them (postage paid) to:
      Cheap Seats Sports Cards
      1504-119th Street
      Whiting, IN 46394
    3. Insure the package for the value of the sale for your protection.
  4. When we receive the package, we will inspect the items for condition and content.
  5. Cheap Seats Sports Cards will then either:
    1. Forward you a check for the agreed upon purchase price or
    2. Return all the items because:
      1. The shipment is incomplete
      2. The condition of the items was misrepresented
      3. The contents of the package arrived damaged
    3. Contact you to correct a minor problem

Trading Policy

While we strongly encourage all collectors and hobby shops to trade cards whenever possible, we have currently suspended all trading which is initiated via email offerings.  The many drawbacks that make an Internet trade difficult to successfully complete, have led us to change our policy.  To understand our perspective, only 1 out of 3 trade offerings are completed to the satisfaction of both parties.  The time and effort in dealing with the volume of unsuccessful trades has unduly burdened our staff.  We will continue to aggressively trade with our customers at our retail store location and we apologize to our customers who are negatively impacted by this new policy.

Want List Filling Policy

Using our web site to fill your want lists is by far the most efficient method to find the cards you need.  We are continually listing new cards and the web site offers us a cost effective way to help you find and purchase the cards you need.  Unfortunately, we cannot offer deeper discounts off-line.  If for some reason you wish to forward your want list to us directly, please read the following instructions before doing so. 

Each week, we receive numerous want lists from collectors across the globe.  As a sports card dealer, we take pride in trying to help our customers in finding the cards they need to complete their collections.  Unfortunately, this is not always an easy task for the sports card dealer.  To assist a collector in filling their want list, the dealer's staff must search and then pull the cards on the customer's want list.  This sometimes involves 100's of cards.  At that point, the customer is typically emailed or called with a quote for the cards that the dealer currently has in stock.  Industry wide, 3 out of every 4 transactions that are handled in this manner are never completed.  Many customers just fail to follow through on their own request to purchase the cards on their want lists.  This practice is a huge burden on the dealer's staff since they must spend time first pulling the cards and then time to restock the cards.  In order to service our customers and continue to fill their want lists, it is necessary for us to implement a new policy.  We will now give our customers 2 options in filling their want lists.  The options are:

Option 1

  1. E-mail us with the name of the player(s), team or the name of the set that you are looking to purchase.
  2. Typically, within 3 business days, we will post all of the player, team or set cards that we have available for purchase at that time on our web site at Beckett.com.
  3. You can now select the cards you are interested in and purchase them via the Beckett.com site.
  4. Your cards will be shipped within 48 hours of receiving your order.

Option 2

  1. Determine the amount you wish to spend for the cards listed on your want list(s).
  2. Arrange to pre-pay this amount before we review your want list.  Please understand that we will ship to you as many cards that we have in stock up to your pre-payment limit.  Keep in mind:
    •  We will accept payments via PayPal, Visa, MasterCard, Discover, money orders, personal checks and cash.
    • The minimum charge for a single card regardless of Beckett value is $0.25.
    • Our pricing for single cards ranges from 50%-100% of Beckett value depending on the condition, the player and market circumstances.  Our average price is 65%-75% of Beckett value.
    • You agree to pay our Beckett.com listed prices.
    • You can prioritize your list if you wish us to concentrate on a certain player or set first.  
  3. Forward your want list and shipping address to us to begin the process.

  3. We reserve the right to reduce, limit or modify any link request for reasons including but not limited to:
    1. The combination of a link title and description can not exceed one full line of text when viewed at maximum window expansion at a resolution of 800x600 pixels
    2. Whenever the text is not a representative description of the actual business
    3. If a link attempts to receive an unfair preferential listing sequence by actions such as placing an "a" or "1" in their link title.
