Cheap Seats Sports Cards is located in Whiting, Indiana, a small Northwest Indiana city located just 15 minutes from downtown Chicago on the southern shores of Lake Michigan. Joe and Diane Stahura purchased Cheap Seats in August of 1996 and are both actively involved in operating the business.  The store is located in the heart of Whiting's business district and is a regular stop for both local and out-of-state customers.  Cheap Seats is a member of the Whiting-Robertsdale Chamber of Commerce and an active member of the community.

In March of 2000, we began a significant store renovation project that included a 2 story addition for additional storage and office space, a complete retail showroom renovation as well as a completely new facade for the exterior of our building. The project was completed in July, 2000 just in time to host our first autograph appearance. Hockey legend Stan Mikita appeared at Cheap Seats on July 8, 2000. Proceeds from Stan's visit benefited AHIHA (American Hearing Impaired Hockey Association). We are proud of the fact that Cheap Seats Sports Cards and the BP Oil Whiting Refinery E.A.A. raised a combined total of nearly $5000 for Stan's charity.

In June of 2000, Cheap Seats went online with "CHEAPSEATSCARDS.COM".  The e-commerce division of the store will allow us to serve an expanded customer base via the Internet.  In our first year online, we feel we have made our presence known on the web.  In this extremely competitive arena, you must earn the customer's trust.  To do this, we provide our Internet customers the same high level of customer service that we provide our retail store's customers.  Our efforts have allowed us to be recognized as one of the leading retailers on the Beckett.com Dealer Marketplace.
